Meet the Round Rock Management Team
Abby Smartt – Area Director

Abby Smartt began serving as Case Manager Supervisor for A World For Children in March 2018 and was subsequently promoted to Regional Director in October 2018. Abby graduated with her Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017, specializing in clinical practice with children and families. Her passion for working with children who have come from hard places led her to working as a case manager for other child placing agencies for over two years, as well as, working as a therapist for teen mothers in the foster care system. Abby is a certified Motivational Interviewer and practitioner of Trust-Based Relational Intervention. Abby practices from a strengths-based, attachment-focused perspective and believes that all children should have a safe, loving environment in which they can grow and learn. She enjoys working with the Round Rock team to ensure every family feels supported and every child feels loved.

Meet the Agency Team
Doug Wilson – Finance Director

Douglas Wilson joined A World For Children in January of 2017 as the Director of Finance. Douglas is a graduate of Texas State University with a BBA in Accounting. He has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant since 1994. Doug served the State of Texas for over 29 years and worked in various capacities in State government before retiring in 2014. Doug previously served as Inspector General for the Office of Inspector General at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC-OIG), as Deputy Inspector General of Operations for HHSC-OIG, as Deputy Director of the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit at the Texas Attorney General’s Office, he served as the Deputy Director of Licensing and Enforcement for what was then the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and he also served as the Director of the Grants Management Division for the Texas Department of Health. Doug has also worked as chief accountant, grant accountant and as an auditor during his career. He is passionate about the work of A World For Children because he believes in the mission of the agency “Changing the world, one child at a time,”and is excited about the opportunity to assist in shaping young lives. Doug also volunteers with a Christian mentoring organization “Young Women and Men of Destiny.”
Andrew Stegall – Placement Director

Andrew Stegall is a graduate of Midwestern State University. Andrew has been employed with A World For Children since 1999. As the Placement Director, Andrew works closely with CPS on the quest to provide a safe haven for children that have been abused and neglected. On a daily basis, Andrew’s astute assessment skills enable him to effectively match a child’s needs with foster parent’s strengths, resulting in a healing experience for the child, as well as stability in placement.
Ronda Harth – Agency Liason

Ronda Harth graduated from Howard Payne University in 1986 with a B.S. in Sociology. For over 30 years, she has worked with high risk children and families. This work has included working with biological and foster families to create a healthier and safer environments for traumatized children.
A World for Children has been Ronda’s home for over 15 years. During her tenure, she has been a case manager, Regional Director and now serves and Agency Liaison. Currently, she heads AWFC’s Supervised Visitation Program in Regions 2/9, in which she facilitates and supervises visits between children in CPS care and their biological families. She believes that there is no agency like “our world” and feels extremely blessed to call this family her home.
