General Information Becoming a Foster Parent AWFC Job Opportunities

We at AWFC have our very own angel.  Angel and her older sister Karina have a very special story.  Angel and Karina came to live with their foster parents when Angel was just a small baby.  God gave them very special foster parents – Pam Castello and Sue Knetig who became family in their childhood when Sue’s parents adopted Pam.  Pam, who had been in foster care, truly understood the needs of Angel and Karina and it was instant bonding.

The girls were going through the legal system and were about to return home.  The decision was weighing heavily on Karina’s mind.  At church, the pastor asked all the saints who had a need to come to front for prayer.  Karina flew to the front – when the pastor asked what she needed she said “a miracle”.  Upon questioning her further, the pastor learned that Karina did not want to go home, but instead wanted to stay with Pam and Sue forever.

Well, the court date came and the decision was to “return home”.  Karina, in her tiny voice asked the judge if she could talk with him.  Unexpectedly, the Judge took Karina into his chambers.  After their discussion, the Judge came out and reversed his decision.

Karina flew into our office threw her arms around my waist and with a big smile looked up at me and said “I got my miracle”!
