AWFC Scores 100% on YFT Monitoring Visit

AWFC  sadly closed the Emergency Shelter in May of 2002.  AWFC staff would like to thank all of the shelter supporters throughout  the 5 years of operation.  Many devoted child advocates gave generously to provide wonderful holidays, special occasions, and exciting activities to the children whose lives have been so traumatized.   Due to financial considerations and long term physical plant arrangements, the AWFC Board of Directors, made the decision to close the shelter.
A World  For Children, will focus on our primary mission - serving troubled children, through foster care services.  Currently AWFC is serving over 400 children throughout the State.

Once again, AWFC received a 100% on a recent  annual monitoring visit completed by YFT.  The YFT team was very complimentary of the records which reflect the work being done by AWFC staff and families.

Another visit is scheduled in June for review of Loc 4 children.  Staff and families are diligently working to ensure all documentation is reflective of  the gains and needs of the children.
