And God Created A World For Children

 A World for Children is a faith based,  non-profit 501 © child  placing agency licensed by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services to provide foster care for abused and neglected children, ages birth to 18 years.

A World for Children began in April of 1997.  The founders of A World For Children, Paul and Sharon Willis and Rebecca Allen,  began with a dream and a desire to make a better world for God’s special kids.  From that humble beginning, God has blessed A World For Children and has entrusted us with over 4000 children.  Currently we are serving over 800 abused children in 275 foster homes across the State of Texas.

Our birth began in the home of Paul and Sharon Willis and soon moved to Round Rock in July of 1997.  From the very beginning,  the plan was to be a ‘hands on” agency where not only did the direct care staff know the foster parents on a “one to one” basis, but the administrative staff would know each foster parent personally.  This “family” philosophy has been maintained as “our world” has grown. 

Currently A World For Children serves most of Texas with offices in Round Rock, Dallas, Tyler,  Brownwood, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, McAllen, Houston, Amarillo, and
El Paso. 

When we look back on our beginnings and where we are now, it confirms what one of the foster parents says every time she sees an AWFC colleague.  She always says “Ain’t God good?  Ain’t He good all the time?” To this all of us at AWFC say “AMEN!!!!”
