San Antonio Staff

The fiesta spirit of San Antonio describes A World For Children as we have become a part of the culture of this area.   As AWFC Area Director, Marni Morgan, AWFC very own ‘fireball’  has caused AWFC to explode in San Antonio.  In one short year, this super staff has developed (18) foster families with 10 more in the process – that is tremendous growth.  However the need for families continues to grow daily.  According to Marni, over 10 children are turned away daily because we have no family for them. Bexar County is “exploding” with children needing foster care.  Marni developed a video – Broken and Battered – which vividly describes the true realities of child abuse – every one needs a wakeup call as to the tragedies our children in Texas face. 

According to Marni Morgan, “ We live by the quote " To the world, you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world."

The San Antonio team are a “well oiled machine” – they work closely with their foster families to ensure needs of children AND families are met.  Last summer a fish fry was hosted at the Winter’s Hill in Floresville.  What a super event complete with the coyote from the San Antonio Spurs!
