In the immortal words of Marty Robins, “Out in the West Texas town of El Paso….” many abused and neglected children reside. Nothing is more disheartening than a child who has lost the sparkle in their eyes, a child who walks with their head down carrying the weight of the world on their thin stooped shoulders, a child who awakes from night terrors sobbing uncontrollably. These are the children staff and foster families serve in El Paso. In a brief year and a half, AWFC is presently serving over 100 children in approximately 50 foster homes. When Jesus said, “The field is white to harvest, and the labors are few”, could He have been talking about little hurting children with no one to care? Please stop by our office and lend your hand and heart to a child. |
