Christmas……Toyland Supreme! Christmas at A World For Children is a magical experience. Many of our children have never known a “true traditional Christmas”. They are in awe at all the fabulous festivities. A World For Children has parties in each of the 10 areas. A wish list is filled out by each child and the AWFC staff and families seek to find donors to make these wishes come true….by the grace of God we are 100% successful in gathering the 1,000+ gifts. Please help our children this year by making a donation. $25 will sponsor 1 child's Christmas Gift. To donate now using Paypal (credit or debit card), If you would like to recieve a child's wishlist to purchase an actual gift, Please e-mail the number of children you would like to sponsor, your name address and phone number to: |

Each area has a fabulous Christmas party for the families and children. Our last Christmas marathon began in East Texas Area – with a fun Texas theme, Santa arrived with a ten gallon Stetson and a delightful elf and passed out presents to our precious youngsters. Many of our children in this area are habilitative…it was so rewarding to watch their “eyes dance with glee” at all the excitement.
Greater Dallas Area – The Texas theme traveled on to Dallas and was enhanced with a group of singers who serenaded the group with Christmas carols. With reindeer hoofs clattering on the rooftop, Santa arrived with a sleigh full of presents to the delight of the Dallas children.
Greater Houston Area – Snowmen filled the hall for our Houston children. The children glowed as they watched the Clowns perform and stuffed their faces with pizza. One little boy sat watching with childish abandonment forgetting for the moment he had no arms!
Greater Brownwood Area – We affectionately call these folks the Wild West Gang. As always, the Wild West created a fabulous Texas Christmas with beautiful poinsettas adorning their tables. The children were aglow with clowns and Santa creating so much excitement. One little girl was heard exclaiming “This is what I have wanted all my life….Thank you!”
Greater Austin Area – Our talented Round Rock staff pull out all the stops at Christmas. With a “Nutcracker” theme, the Georgetown Community Center “glittered and glowed”. Our wonderful in house chef, Marcia Moore created a gourmet meal for over 300 party goers…yum, yum! Papa Paul read “The Night Before Christmas” to the youngsters. Seven “tiny” reindeers and “the mouse” made an unexpected visit during storytime.
Corpus Christi Area – Christmas with sun, fun, sea shells, and beautiful beach décor was the theme of the Corpus party. The hall and guests were dressed in “beach casual” – what fun. After a delicious traditional Christmas dinner, a magical Santa arrived delighting the hearts of all the precious children.
Valley Area – Talk about dressing to the “nines”….. our youngsters looked fabulous at the Cimmaron Country Club. Truly the country club glittered with all the beautiful twinkle lights and beautiful décor… this was the first time in country club for many of us…what an awesome experience for our kids. Once again Santa made a stop and passed out presents gathered by the local border patrol and FBI – we were on our best behavior!
San Antonio Area – Our brand new San Antonio staff created a masterful “Christmas Around the World” party complete with huggy bears and signed Max Lucado books for all the children. A magician kept the children spellbound as rabbits jumped out of hats and objects appeared from mid air. A little boy asked his foster mom “Who is this Santa Claus ….I never heard of him before!” Johnny met Santa and will forever remember his first real Christmas.
El Paso Area – The El Paso families “partyed all weekend” with a party on Saturday and Sunday. A local D.J. entertained the kids as they “danced the latest moves.” Our very own clowns, Sue and Pam, awed the children with their many “tricks”. The local churches adopted our children and gave them “their hearts desires – including bicycles”. The “party team” (administration staff) truly “danced across Texas”.
Wow – Christmas at A World For Children is a memorable event! A BIG thank you to staff and our awesome sponsors! |
