Education is vitally important to our children in care.  The national statistic indicated that on an average, foster children are two years behind academically.  A World For Children is committed to helping our children value education and receive the help they need to be successful.   

New backpacks, school supplies and school clothes go a long way in helping a child to mentally prepare for school.  With a positive self esteem, our children begin the new school year with a positive outlook.  To ensure all our children have a great beginning, AWFC provides school supplies and an additional $100 per child to assist with school clothes.  The next step in school success is family participation.  Our AWFC families are super at attending sporting events, school activities, ARD meetings, stock shows….etc.

            The Brownwood area enjoy a fun day at the park complete with swimming and lots of food.

            The San Antonio group has a fun afternoon filled with games, the Spurs Coyote, and delicious fried fish.
